The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers an AICTE approved one Bachelor Programme in the stream of Mechanical Engineering. We aim to create efficient Mechanical Engineers who can compete at the global level. We implement this by creating opportunities for the students to engage in contemporary learning designed to foster a spirit of entrepreneurship to launch their own ventures or find a rewarding career path. The department has qualified and experienced faculty members who actively engage in research and expose themselves to emerging areas. The department has industry-oriented laboratories, department library and classrooms to support e-learning. Guest lectures and industrial visits are periodically arranged for the students to supplement their curriculum. We strive for all round excellence in students, encouraging them in all extracurricular activities.
We focus on educating students in the general streams of design, manufacture, service and allied engineering sectors that supports career growth and helps the students to solve real-time multi-disciplinary engineering projects. We prepare our students to apply ethical principles and commit to responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice. We encourage creative thought processes and offer extensive opportunities to students to think out of box to develop their capabilities for contributing to the development of our society. The four year programme is one of its kind and is designed to mould the students to have profound theoretical knowledge and extensive exposure to the industrial environment. The students are offered orientation towards industrial practices to develop comprehensive skills in addition to developing a wide perspective on multifarious industries.
